Skoltech is a new global research university created in collaboration with MIT. The new campus, designed by Herzog de Meuron, is home to 40 world-class labs with best-in-class equipment, globally renowned professors and students from 40+ countries.
Speakers:
Professor Dzmitry Tsetserukou, head of the laboratory of intellectual and space robotics. Before Skoltech he led the laboratory at Toyohashi University in Japan. Dmitry's students launch successful startups (for example, Tsuru Robotics and Tyler), and the Reset team, annually recruited from the freshmen of the laboratory, has been winning the Russian qualifying stages of the prestigious EuroBot competition for several years in a row without leaving the top five teams in international finals (2019 year - 2 place).
Research scientist Sergey Nikolaev leads research and industrial projects at the Center for Design, Manufacturing and Materials, and works a lot with the students of the program "Advanced Manufacturing Technologies". He is the CEO of the startup Cyberphysics which helps businesses optimize production using hybrid analytics, uses numerical modeling and machine learning.
