Skoltech Open Doors
Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Energy Systems, Applied Computational Mechanics

March 29 / 5:00 PM
Bolshoy Boulevard 30, bld. 1
Moscow

offline
On March 29 at 5:00 pm (GMT +3) join Skoltech Open Doors to get an overview of our 3 MSc programs: Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Energy Systems, Applied Computational Mechanics.

Students and graduates with STEM backgrounds interested in pursuing their Master's studies are invited.

At the event, we will present 3 MSc programs and tell you everything about our competitive selection application process. And as a bonus, we will take you on tour around campus and show you the labs so that you can see the education and research process yourself. This is a truly unique opportunity because normally only students and staff have access there.

Please note that the event will be held only in offline format. There will be no recording or live broadcast.

Registration is required.

Skoltech is a new global research university created in collaboration with MIT. The new campus, designed by Herzog de Meuron, is home to 40 world-class labs with best-in-class equipment, globally renowned professors and students from 40+ countries.

Energy Systems
The future of the global power industry is inconceivable without modern IT solutions in energy system design and control. We combine in-depth IT training (computation, modeling, data analysis) and thorough study of basic engineering approaches to cultivate future industry leaders.
Advanced Manufacturing Technologies
The program is aimed to develop the shortest path from fundamentals in mechanics and physics to industrial applications with a particular focus on materials and novel technologies. It prepares the next generation of researchers, engineers, and practitioners to assume the role of technical leadership in research and innovation. Students learn the scientific fundamentals and state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of advanced composite materials, additive manufacturing, and thermal spray coatings. Our graduates design and test materials, and apply them in large-scale industries.
Applied Computational Mechanics
Mechanics is at the heart of many technological processes in the energy sector, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defense, transportation, and others sectors. Computational modeling plays a key role in the development of state-of-the art technologies in these areas. The program offers a modern curriculum that prepares students in the modeling of mechanics of fluids and solids, analysis of multiphase and reacting flows, and computational science and engineering. Graduates will become leaders in research and development of modern computational tools required by high-tech industries.
18:30 – 20:00
Tour around campus and labs

20:00 – 20:30
Coffee & networking (chance to informally chat with programs and admissions representatives, and with current students)
Skoltech
We are Skoltech – a new international English-speaking STEM university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011 in Moscow, Russia. In just 8 years, we united dozens of researchers and globally renowned professors, built a stunning campus, set up world-class labs and made it to the top 100 young universities in the Nature Index. The application period is now open.
