On April 17 at 4:00 p.m. (GMT +3, MSK) we will hold an Open Doors in Materials & Energy. Together with the Skoltech professors, we will discuss the current directions in the field of advanced composite materials, materials modeling, nanostructures for optoelectronics and sensorics, plasmonic structures and metamaterials, multiphase flow modeling with applications to energy transition, materials and devices for energy conversion and storage, renewable energy sources, digital technologies in power grids. Additionally, representatives of the admissions committee will help you understand the selection process and tell you how to prepare all the documents.

During the evening, we will talk about the following programs:

Master's degree: Materials Science, Photonics and Quantum Materials, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (Materials Technologies track), Applied Computational Mechanics, Energy Systems.
PhD: Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering systems, Mathematics and Mechanics, Physics.

Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to take a tour around campus and visit our modern laboratories. This is a great chance to experience first-hand the scientific and educational atmosphere of our institute, talk to professors and students, and get answers to any questions you may have.

Registration is required.
Please note that the event will be held only in offline format. There will be no recording or live broadcast.

Modern industry is in great need of professionals in materials science, ready to develop new materials and devices for application in renewable energy, consumer electronics, healthcare, and other areas. Our practical approach gives our graduates the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills for success in electronics, energy, chemicals, automotive industry, and other sectors.
Photonics is among the most important areas of modern science and technology. Our MSc program provides world class education and research in photonics, bio-photonics and nanoelectronics – our students will be prepared to apply fundamental science and engineering approaches to higher-level research and industrial tasks. The program allows to customize your educational experience by selection of tracks: research-oriented, engineering-oriented, and industry-oriented (jointly with IPG Photonics).
The program is aimed to develop the shortest path from fundamentals in mechanics and physics to industrial applications with a particular focus on materials and novel technologies. It prepares the next generation of researchers, engineers, and practitioners to assume the role of technical leadership in research and innovation. Students learn the scientific fundamentals and state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of advanced composite materials, additive manufacturing, and thermal spray coatings. Our graduates design and test materials, and apply them in large-scale industries.
Mechanics is at the heart of many technological processes in the energy sector, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defense, transportation, and other sectors. Computational modeling plays a key role in the development of state-of-the art technologies in these areas. The program offers a modern curriculum with classes on the modeling of mechanics of fluids and solids, analysis of multiphase and reacting flows, and computational science and engineering. Graduates will become leaders in research and development of modern computational tools required by high-tech industries.
The future of the global power industry is inconceivable without modern IT solutions in energy system design and control. We combine in-depth IT training (computation, modeling, data analysis) and thorough study of basic engineering approaches to cultivate future industry leaders.
