Photonics & Quantum Materials
Online Open doors /
April 13 /5pm (Moscow time)
On April 13 join our online Open doors about MSc program Photonics and Quantum Materials. Students with mathematical, physics, materials, and mechanical backgrounds are invited. You will hear about the program application process and learn what you need to do to receive an admissions offer to one of the Top-100 young universities in the Nature Index. Registration for the event is required.

The presentation of the MSc program will be conducted by professors Mikhail Skvortsov and Albert Nasibulin will talk about lab facilities and career opportunities.

Skoltech is a new global research university created in collaboration with MIT. The new campus, designed by Herzog de Meuron, is home to 40 world-class labs with best-in-class equipment, globally renowned professors and students from 40+ countries.

Program director and professor Mikhail Skvortsov. Mikhail graduated with a Master degree from the MIPT. His further scientific career has been closely related to the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics, where he started as a PhD student, received the Doctor of Science degree, and is working presently as a senior research scientist. His recent research activity is related with the physics of strongly disordered superconductors and chiral metals, nonequilibrium superconductivity, electron transport in quantum wires, and Anderson localization of Majorana fermions.

Professor Albert Nasibulin got his PhD in Physical Chemistry at Kemerovo State University and Doctor of Science at Saint-Petersburg Technical State University. He is a Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences and an Adjunct Professor at Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering. Albert has specialized in the aerosol synthesis of nanomaterials (nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes, and tetrapods), investigations of their growth mechanisms, and their applications. He has a successful background in academic research with about 300 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 40 patents. He is a co-founder of three companies: Canatu Ltd. (spin-off from Helsinki University of Technology) and CryptoChemistry and Novaprint (spin-offs from Skoltech).
We are Skoltech – a new international English-speaking STEM university that was founded by the group of world-renowned scientists in 2011 in Moscow, Russia. In just 8 years, we united dozens of researchers and globally renowned professors, built a stunning campus, set up world-class labs and made it to the top 100 young universities in the Nature Index.
